On Friday 25th January, Palestinian protesters raised the Palestinian flags on the settlement of Eliezer that was built on the lands of al-Khader village, south of Bethlehem.
Coordinator of Popular Committee to Resist Apartheid Wall and Settlement, Mohammad Brejyieh, said that a group of protesters staged a protest infront of the Eliezer settlement in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails.
Some of the protesters were able to raise the Palestinian flags on top of the settlement, and chanted slogans for the immediate release of Palestinian prisoners, before they were forced to leave the place by Israeli soldiers.
Brejyieh said that the participants have confirmed that the world, international society and human rights institutions must intervene to save the life of Hunger striker Samer al-Issawi who has been on strike for 186 days.
