Friday, 20th July, despite the hot, dry weather and the first day of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, dozens of Palestinian and foreign activists participated in the weekly march organized by the Popular Committee Against the Wall in Bil'in.
The march started from the center of the village toward the liberated land adjacent to the Apartheid Wall. A Norwegian delegation, Palestinian citizens, dozens of Israeli and international peace activists participated in the march.
The Participants raised Palestinian flags, and called for the demolition of the wall, cease of the occupation and the liberation of Palestinian prisoners.
Upon the arrival of participants to Abu Lemon area, the Israeli occupation soldiers were stationed behind the concrete wall and started shooting rubber bullets, stun grenades, tear gas and waste water mixed with chemicals towards the protesters.
Dozens of participants suffered from suffocation due to tear gas inhalation and were treated in the field by ambulance crews. Some of the Palestinian Youths who were at the demonstration started to throw stones at the Israeli soldiers.
