WE ARE ALL #Hungerstrike63days

800px-Khader AdnanToday Khader Adnan entered his 63rd day of hunger strike. A trend has taken place on twitter under the name #hungerstrike63days, in an effort to spread the news of a subject that has gotten little to no attention by western media outlets. Even Haaretz, the Israeli left wing newspaper, only mentioned the strike as it entered its 60th day. One person commented on the trend saying “freedom is more important than food”, another commented “and the world is still indifferent to the injustice”. This trend has taken place not only to spread the news, but also to show solidarity with Khader Adnan and the whole Palestinian people.  It’s not clear whether there will be a  #hungerstrike64days, as Khader Adnan’s health is deteriorating minute by minute and the Israeli court has already rejected his appeal and blamed him for his own health situation.  PNN will keep you updated on the situation on our website, and through our twitter page @pnnenglish.

OP ED: Israeli National Parks: A Strategy To Steal Land From Palestinians, Jerusalem

Ada 2By Edra Arb/ PNN

In order to make the prospect of East Jerusalem as a future Palestinian capital as unattainable as possible, one of the many Israeli strategies is to confiscate Palestinian land and property. One way of doing this is through the building of the separation wall that in 2007 resulted in the confiscation of land belonging to almost twenty per cent of Palestinian families living in Jerusalem.

USPCN message of solidarity to the PennBDS Conference

CONFERENCE-SQUARE1-539x300PNN

The US Palestinian Community Network (USPCN) salutes University of Pennsylvania's dedicated student activists for organizing a spectacular conference on the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement despite cowardly attacks from Zionist organizations, community members, and faculty. Rather than succumbing to internal and external Zionist pressure, PennBDS hosted an array of speakers and workshops in support of the Palestinian right of return, an end to the ongoing occupation and colonization of Palestinian land, and the dissolution of Israel's apartheid framework. Similarly to the way campus organizing played a vital role in the struggle to end apartheid in South Africa, student activism will continue to enrich and augment the movement to liberate Palestine. This past weekend, PennBDS demonstrated once again that in the face of the truth, Zionist forces are only left with ad hominem attacks, intimidation, and vicious smear-campaigns.
