Sheikh Kamal Al-Khatib, the deputy head of the Islamic Movement in occupied lands, said on Tuesday, 31st July, that Jerusalem municipality issued a decision to convert al-Aqsa mosque's yards into public parks and gardens in order to facilitate access to those areas for Jews.
In his press release, Al-Khatib commented that the Judaization of Jerusalem had escalated recently as Israeli authorities attempted to obliterate the Palestinian monuments in the holy city through procedures that were implemented for the first time this month.
"The Israeli occupation allowed -- for the first time in Ramadan -- the admission of settlers into the yards of al-Aqsa mosque, without taking into consideration the feelings of Muslims. At the same time, they allowed for the Jerusalem municipality's decision to convert the mosque's yards into public parks and gardens, where everyone is allowed to enter," said al-Khatib.
