Erekat: Romney’s Assertions Unacceptable

On Monday, 30th July, Chief Palestinian Negotiator, Dr. Saeb Erekat, said that Romney's assertions that Jerusalem is Israel's capital are "detrimental to the interests of Washington and influence Palestine's peace, security and stability."
Erekat described Romney's assertions as "absolutely unacceptable."
He also stressed that, "East Jerusalem, according to the two-state solution that the world supports including the United States and the majority of Israelis, is the capital of Palestine and the West Jerusalem is the capital of Israel."
