On Wednesday, 25th July, Israeli authorities have begun constructing the new part of the Apartheid wall in Baiarat al-Shela, west of Masha village in Salfit.

Hani Amer, a Palestinian farmer, told Palestinian News agency WAFA that the Israeli authorities started to construct the new section of the wall in Baiarat al-Shela area. It will close the entrance and unable farmers to reach their lands and cultivate them.

Amer said that the Israeli bulldozers razed the agricultural land and uprooted a number of trees in order to build this part.

He also said that the targeted area is estimated to be more than a thousand acres, mostly an irrigated land with citrus trees, different types of fruit trees and vegetables.

Hani Amer appealed to the International Red Cross and human rights organizations to intervene and halt the ongoing Israeli attacks on Palestinian farmers. He also called to stop the construction of the new section of the wall.
