Today, 30 March 2012, (Palestinian Land Day), the world will be supporting the Global March to Jerusalem, with actions taking place right across the world.

Protests will take place in Palestine, including in Jerusalem, at the Damascus Gate. A marathon entitled "Jerusalem- The Eternal Capital of Palestine" will be held under the patronage of the Jerusalemite athlete Said Misk.

In Jordan, protesters will move from a number of areas to a rally overlooking occupied Jerusalem. The program will include a number of events and an oratorical festival in which a number of prominent Jordanian personalities will participate along with others representing the international delegations.

In Lebanon, protesters will gather at Al-Shqeif Castle in Southern Lebanon overlooking the borders with Palestine.

In Egypt, a rally will take place at Al-Azhar Al-sharif, and a marathon entitled "Jerusalem is Ours" will launch at 2pm on Friday in front of Cairo University and pass through Al-Giza Square and end at the pyramids. A protest sit-in will also take place in Tahrir Square in Cairo.

Protests are also due to take place in Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria, Tunisia, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and across Europe, including Italy, Germany, Austria, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, and Britain, where a protest rally will take place opposite the Israeli Embassy in London from 5-7pm, addressed by the Palestinian Ambassador, MPs and others.

Events in solidarity with Palestine and Jerusalem will also take place right across the United States and Canada, and in three main cities in Australia.

Delegations of international solidarity activists and political figures from different countries will participate in the events inside Palestine and in the surrounding countries.

In Palestine ’48 (Israel) the Higher Follow Up Committee, which unites the Palestinian political parties and social organizations of the Palestinian citizens of Israel, has organized the following events to commemorate Land Day:

- Naqab, Wadi Na’eem: public gathering at 3 pm

- Yaffa: march starts at 1 pm from the old port towards al Ajame, 3 pm gathering in al Ajame

- Marches in Deir Hanna, Kufr Qanna, Arabe, Sakhnin followed by public gatherings
