The court case of 19 Australian BDS activists has recently been aired in a 10-minute documentary on The Real News website. The 'Max Brenner 19' as they are known were arrested for taking part in a demonstration outside the Israeli-owned store Max Brenner, which boasts of its long relationship with the Golani and Givati Brigades of the Israeli Occupation Forces and how the stores supports the soldier and 'sweetens their special moment' in the brigades.
The 19 were arrested last year and have recently won their court case. The charges brought against the activists by the Victorian Police Force included absurd 'offenses' such as 'trespassing on public property' and 'besetting', which is a form of picketing. However, the charges were thrown out by the court's judge who found that they were baseless.
