The Myanmar government and army of organizing and backing Buddhist groups to carry out genocide of Muslims in that country said Islamic Human Rights Committee Faisal Sergio Tapia
The International Human Rights Prosecutor, Faisal Sergio Tapia, said the massive killing of Muslims in Myanmar undertaken by order of the country's military rulers is the repetition of genocide in Rwanda and as such a crime against humanity.
Talking to IRNA on Wednesday 1st A, he called on the United Nations and other international bodies to help stop the killing.
The leader of Islamic Human Rights Faisal Sergio Tapia said he has officially called for intervention of such international organizations as the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to condemn genocide, spread of religious hatred and continuous cases of crimes against humanity committed against 800,000 Muslims living in very adverse situation in camps surrounded by extremist militants in Myanmar.
He regretted that the same silence over the Rwanda genocide in 1994 is now happening in Myanmar against the Muslim community which has already lost 20,000 of its members in the past two decades.
He accused the Myanmar government and army of organizing and backing Buddhist groups to carry out genocide of Muslims in that country.
