PA President Abbas in Rome for Two Days Visit

Monday evening, 16th July, Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas arrived to Rome, the capital of Italy, in an official visit that would last for two days, where he'll meet Italian senior officials.
Abbas was welcomed by Head of the Diplomatic Protocol of the Italian Republic and the Vatican, Palestine's Ambassador to Vatican Sabri Attyeh, and a number of officials from Fatah organization and the Palestinian community in Italy.
The PA President Abbas will meet today, his Italian counterpart Giorgio Napolitano, Prime Minister of Italy Mario Monti, the speaker of Parliament Gianfranco Fini, and Head of the Italian senate Renato Skayvana.
President Abbas was accompanied by a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization, Saeb Erekat, Minister of Foreign Affairs Riad Al-Maliki, Presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh and diplomatic advisor Majdi al-Khaldi, during his visit to Rome.
