On Monday, Maariv Israeli newspaper revealed that Netanyahu's Special envoy, Yitzhak Molcho visited Cairo secretly; the same day Mohammad Morsi was officially sworn in as Egypt's President.

Molcho met in Cairo with Chief of Egyptian Intelligence, General Murad Muwafi and the head of the Military Council, Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi.

The same newspaper published that Molcho confirmed to the Egyptian officials the necessity to continue with the security cooperation between the two countries.

Molcho also said that Israel expects Egypt to implement its sovereignty over the Sinai Peninsula, where there are supposedly a lot of smugglers and terrorists.

Mohammad al-Baltagi, Secretary-general of the Egyptian Freedom and Justice Party said that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must know that the situation now is not like before; the time of his intimidation for the Egyptian Administration is over.

Al-Baltagi saw that there are few situations that need emendations such as the admission of Israelis into Senai without permits.
