Clinton to Netanyahu: Must Take Steps to Advance Mideast Peace

On Wednesday, 9th May, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a phone call, that she hopes the new coalition between Netanyahu and Mofaz will enable Israel to take steps to resume peace negotiations with Palestinians.
In a Press release published by Netanyahu's office, Clinton had congratulated Netanyahu for the formation of the new government.
Clinton welcomed the idea that the unity coalition will "advance the peace process." She said that United States is ready to support both sides in the effort to achieve a two-state solution.
