The United Arab Emirates Ambassador for the United Nations, Ahmed Al Jarman, has issued a statement condemning the Israel´s continuous violation of the Palestinian people and stating that the Arab Group supports the UN Security Council Resolutions 2042 and 2043 alongside calling for an independent inquiry to investigate the effects of the Israeli occupation on the "civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights" of Palestinians.
In his recent speech before the UN Security Council in New York, according to the state news agency WAM, al Jarman referred to the monthly briefings submitted by the Secretariat to the Security Council on the latest developments in the Occupied Territories since 1967, stating that the "violent and aggressive" state of Israel have refused to take part in the peace process due to the following "continued and systematic expansion of its illegal settlement expansion in the depth of the West Bank and East Jerusalem and their surroundings, the expulsion of the Arab population from their homes, and confiscation of more private and public lands and properties, all of which undermined the elements of the Palestinian State and its national authority."
In a strong worded speech, Al Jarman condemned the practices of Israel and called upon the international community and the UN Security Council to "assume full responsibility towards forcing Israel to cease immediately its serious policies" and also demanded the Council to support the recent decisions of the human rights Council which calls for "sending an independent international fact-finding mission to investigate the repercussions of Israel's settlements"
Moreover he stated that The Arab Group held Israel directly responsible for failing all regional and international efforts to resume peace negotiations which has resulted in "increasing anger, tension and instability in the region as a whole."
