On Wednesday, 23rd May, Amnesty International released its annual report 2012, exposing details of Israeli violations of human rights.

The report highly criticized the Israeli policies imposed on Palestinians, showing that the Israeli forces used excessive force in suppressing the demonstrators in the West Bank and civilians in Gaza Strip.

The report revealed that the Israeli forces killed 55 civilians in the West Bank and Gaza, including 11 children.

The report blames Israel for neglecting the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and continues with their brutal practices; through continuous blockade, seizure of Palestinian lands to expand settlements, the demolition of Palestinian homes alongside other facilities and villages.

Alongside Israeli policy regarding the imprisonment of Palestinians, a further 307 are being held in administrative detention without trial or charge by the Israeli Prison Service.

The report moreover addressed the issue that Israel fails to bring justice to Palestinians and to prevent attacks on them by settlers and documented the murder of three Palestinians who were killed by settlers during the past year.
