The advisor to the Minister of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Fathi Abu Warda, announced today, Thursday, that the COVID vaccination campaign in Gaza will start next Sunday with medical personnel.
Dr. Abu Warda told “Voice of Palestine” radio that the cases of Corona virus infection decreased in the Gaza Strip, pointing out that the vaccine arrived in the Strip yesterday.
He pointed out that the vaccines are intended for medical, intensive care and emergency personnel, and organ transplant patients such as kidney patients, indicating that the vaccination will begin with medical personnel at the European Gaza Hospital, and doctors and employees working in the intensive care and emergency departments are now being counted, in preparation for giving them the vaccine next Sunday.
Yesterday, 2000 doses of vaccinations and vaccines arrived in the Gaza Strip, which were sent by the Ministry of Health in the occupied West Bank.
