Israel closes border between Palestine and Jordan due to COVID


The Israeli occupation government announced, on Wednesday evening, that it is about to close the Karama crossing between Palestine and Jordan, which is controlled by “Israel” due to the Corona pandemic and to prevent the spread of new strains of the virus, as of Thursday, at five in the evening.

The occupation authorities and the so-called office of the Spokesman for the Coordination Unit for the Activities of the Occupation Government in the Occupied Palestinian Territories announced that, in implementation of the decision of the Israeli government and within the framework of attempts to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, the Allenby Bridge was announced closed as of today, Thursday, at 5:00 pm until Further notice.

According to the occupation’s decision, travelers will not be allowed to travel via the Allenby Bridge, the “Karama Crossing,” in both directions, except for exceptional humanitarian cases.

The Israeli occupation authorities said that the decision was taken in coordination with Jordan and the Palestinian Authority.
