14 deaths and 660 new cases of COVID-19 during past 24 hours

The Minister of Health Mai Al-Kaila on Tuesday announced that there were 14 deaths and 660 new cases of the COVID-19, in addition to 588 recoveries during the last 24 hours.

In the daily report on the epidemiological situation of the Coronavirus in Palestine, Minister Al-Kaila added that 9 deaths were recorded in the West Bank (a citizen of 89 years, a citizen of 74 years of age from the Jenin governorate, a 45-year-old citizen from Qalandia camp, an 83-year-old citizen from Al-Ram, a 74-year-old citizen from Qalandia, an 83-year-old citizen from Gorish in the Nablus governorate, a citizen of Silwad and a 16-year-old citizen from Deir Debwan in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, an 88-year-old citizen from Dheisheh camp in Bethlehem governorate), in addition to 3 deaths in the Gaza Strip (a citizen of 72 years and a 65-year-old citizen , A citizen of 72 years old), and two deaths in Jerusalem, from al-Tur and Beit Hanina.

She added that the new casualties were distributed according to the following: Hebron Governorate (48), Nablus Governorate (111), Bethlehem Governorate (67), Qalqilya Governorate (16), Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate (57), Jenin (36), Jericho and Al-Aghwar (2) ), Salfit (16), Tulkarm (26), Tubas (5), the Gaza Strip (191), the suburbs of Jerusalem (9), Jerusalem (76).

Regarding recovery cases, 359 cases were recorded in the West Bank (Hebron 74, Jenin 24, Nablus 117, Tulkarm 12, Salfit 10, Tubas 1, Qalqilya 3, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 67, Jericho and Al-Aghwar 51), Gaza Strip 189, the city of Jerusalem 40.

She pointed out that the rate of recovery from the Corona virus in Palestine reached 88.1%, while the rate of active cases reached 11.1%, and the death rate was 0.8% of all cases.

Regarding the health conditions of the cases, the Minister of Health pointed out that there are 40 patients receiving treatment in the intensive care rooms, including 11 patients connected to artificial respirators.
