Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said that colonization is the enemy of peace, and that the Israeli occupation government should stop its colonial plans and stop seizing our lands and building thousands of settlement units.

He stressed that the time has come for Israel to choose between a two-state solution or demographic melting, noting that for the first time since 1948, the number of Palestinians in historic Palestine outnumbered Israeli Jews by more than 250,000 people.

On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, which falls on the fifteenth of this month, the Prime Minister called on the countries of Europe and the rest of the world to take a step towards breaking the status quo, recognizing the state of Palestine, curbing settlement plans, annexation, demolishing homes, judaizing Jerusalem, and isolating Gaza.

He said: The world is required to stand with the freedom of our people, end the occupation, and Israel pay the price for its continuous aggression against our people.

The Prime Minister called on the Red Cross to provide a medical team to supervise their safety, stressing the government’s readiness to send this team to monitor the health conditions and conduct the necessary checks for the prisoners.

On the other hand, Shtayyeh condemned the killing of the young man Bilal Rawajba by the occupation forces at the Nablus roadblock, and offered condolences to his family.

With regard to the “Corona” virus, the Prime Minister indicated that the Emergency Committee, the security services and the governors studied a few days ago the epidemiological situation of the virus in Palestine, and learned about the numbers of daily infections and the measures taken by countries of the world by closing some service facilities and others.

He stressed that to avoid any closures that reflect themselves negatively on our daily life and our livelihood, it has been decided to tighten the procedures of adhering to the wearing of the muzzle, especially in closed places, preventing crowding and gathering, preventing weddings and mourning homes, and we have put in place a strict protocol for prayer in mosques, stressing that the penalties for violators will be intensified , Calling for commitment and contribution to this war on the virus.

The Cabinet is discussing an educational agreement with the Republic of Turkey in the field of education and an agreement with the European Bank, issues related to the protection of agricultural lands and a plan to enhance the Palestinian narrative about Palestine, and to provide legal aid to the underprivileged, and issues with special needs that we discuss with their representatives in the Union.
