The Israeli occupation authorities approved the construction of hundreds of settlement units in “Tzur Hadassah” settlement, which is built on citizens’ lands in Wadi Fukin village, west of Bethlehem.
Head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission in Bethlehem, Hassan Brijieh, told WAFA  agency that, based on Israeli sources, the occupation approved the construction of 500 settlement units in the aforementioned settlement, at the expense of the citizens’ lands in Wadi Fukin.
He pointed out that there is an occupation plan targeting the Bethlehem Governorate by increasing the pace of settlement, the most recent of which was a change in the borders of the lands in Arab al-Ta`amrah east of Bethlehem, and preventing citizens from entering and staying in their lands adjacent to some settlements in the south and east of Bethlehem.
