Abbas to meet with Egyptian President in Sharm El-Sheikh

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday arrived in Egypt  for a youth conference in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Sources in the leadership said that President Abbas went to Egypt yesterday to attend a youth conference in Sharm el-Sheikh, stressing that the president will meet with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on the sidelines of his attendance at the conference.

It is worth mentioning that an Egyptian security delegation headed by Major General Ahmed Abdel Khaliq, the official of the Palestinian file in the intelligence service, will return to the Gaza Strip to resume efforts to calm the factions and the Israeli occupation.

“The Egyptian security delegation will return to the Gaza Strip today to meet with the Follow-up Committee of the National and Islamic Forces and the Supreme National Authority for the Return of the Return and independents in order to discuss the stabilization of the cease-fire and ease the tension on the border between Gaza and the occupation,” said the sources, .
