Assaf: We are continuing struggle in Khan Al-Ahmar

Head of the wall and settlement resistance committee, Walid Assaf, on Sunday announced he will continue steadfastness in Al-Khan Al-Ahmar village east of Jerusalem.

This statement came in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement on Sunday morning that the village would be evacuated and that the cabinet would decide on the exact eviction date.

In a telephone conversation with WAFA, Assad said that the positions of the extreme right in Israel are pushing for the evacuation of the village residents in preparation for their demolition, pointing out that there is no clear position so far.

The occupation announced yesterday its intention to freeze the decision to demolish the village until further notice, so that all possible proposals and alternative plans can be considered before the implementation of forced evictions
