Two Palestinian civilians were killed early Tuesday by Israeli shelling east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources said.

The Health ministry spokesperson in Gaza, Ashraf Al-Qudra added that the identity of the two martyrs was still unknown since they were taken to hospital in bad condition.

Palestinian Red Crescent vehicles were prevented from reaching the area where Palestinian youths were shelled for hours by the Israeli soldiers, before they were allowed to search.

Red Crescent sources said their medical crews recovered the bodies of two martyrs, where they found body parts and took them to hospital.

The ambulance crews found the bodies near the border fence east of the town of Qarara.

Meanwhile, Israeli media said they fired a military aircraft on a young man approached the security fence in the southern Gaza Strip and placed a suspicious body near it.
