Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Monday evening shot dead a Palestinian teen in the vicinity of Kiryat Arba settlement, near the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron) earlier in the day.
The Israeli army claimed that the 19-year-old victim was wielding a knife when he approached an Israeli military checkpoint in the area when he was shot dead by the Israeli live fire.
It further identified him as Wael al-Jabari, 27. No Israelis were hurt in the incident, the army added.
The Israeli military regularly opens fatal fire on Palestinians, accusing them of attempting to carry out stabbing attacks against its forces.
Human rights groups have repeatedly criticized the Tel Aviv regime for its shoot-to-kill policy as a large number of the Palestinians killed at the scene of attacks did not pose serious threats to Israelis.
