The Israeli Supreme Court on Monday has overturned a decision to demolish a home in Al-Khader and remove a mobile home in Battir, both villages near Bethlehem, following protests by activists.
A representative of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee in Bethlehem, Hassan Brejiya, said that a decision was issued by the Supreme Court to stop the demolition of the house of citrizen Samih Salah in the town of Al-Khader, the removal a mobile home belonging to Hana Abu Harithiya in Batir.
He said that it was not the first time that a decision was issued by the Israeli court to stop demolition. They also decided to stop the destruction of the Al-Tahadi school in the ”Jib al-Theeb” area east of Bethlehem.
The court also overruled the planned evacuation of a settler from the lands of “Khallet al-Nahla” south of Bethlehem.
