Fwd: Lieberman to decide new measures for Gaza


Israeli Minister of Army, Avigdor Lieberman will hold a special meeting on Tuesday at 12 noon to approve a new series of measures for the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reported Monday evening.

The Hebrew newspaper Maariv reported that Lieberman would agree to reopen the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing, and expand the fishing area allowed in the Sea of ​​Gaza. However, these steps will be conditional and linked to the continued calm on the Gaza border.

The newspaper quoted a senior security source,in the Israeli army ministry as saying: “The minister may approve a series of other measures in the coming days, provided that there is calm on the border with the Gaza Strip.”
