Maj. Gen. Faraj discusses national security cooperation with Russian minister

Head of Palestinian General Intelligence Service Maj. Gen. Majid Faraj reviewed the latest developments in security for the Palestinian region with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev in Moscow.

They also discussed the recent developments in the deterioration of independent Palestinian sovereignty caused by Israeli practices such as night raids.

The meeting was about cooperative efforts in the field of security as well as international and regional issues based on the historic Palestinian-Russian relations. Russia was also the first global superpower to recognize the independence of Palestine in 1988.

A statement released by the Press Office of the Council said that “Nikolai Patrushev discussed with Faraj issues of security cooperation with Russia and Palestine in addition to a number of topics on an international and regional agenda.”
