The Israeli minister of internal security, Gilad Erdan said on Thursday that Israel was approaching a broad military campaign against Hamas in Gaza.
“There is no perfect solution to the problems of the Gaza Strip,” Erdan was quoted as saying. “It seems that we are approaching a broad military campaign in Gaza.”
According to Hebrew media, Erdan threatened, saying: “The army should launch an extensive military campaign against Hamas in Gaza.”
The statement of the Israeli minister came in light of the recent military escalation on the Gaza Strip border, where an Israeli soldier was moderately wounded by sniper fire. The Israeli army launched an aggression against several military positions in Gaza, killing three members of its military wing.
