Hosh Al-Syrian guesthouse earns 2018 tripadvisor certificate of excellence

The Hosh Al-Syrian Guesthouse today announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence.

The Hosh Al-Syrian Guesthouse is a small guesthouse with 12 rooms in a historic building of Bethlehem’s old city.

Just off Star Street, the Hosh Al-Syrian was renovated by Bethlehem Municipality to be transformed into a guesthouse. This project is in line with the strategy of Bethlehem Municipality to preserve and promote Bethlehem’s unique cultural heritage.

The renovations was financed by the Italian Government through the Palestinian Municipality Support Program and realised by the Centre for Cultural Heritage Preservation in Bethlehem.    

Fadi Kattan, director of the Hosh Al-Syrian Guesthouse says: “We are honoured to be in such a great location in Bethlehem. The Hosh captures the soul of Old Bethlehem, Palestinian identity and enables us to create a haven of tranquillity while promoting our culture and sharing with our visitors the charms of Palestine.”

He clarifies: “ The Hosh Al-Syrian Guesthouse not only offers visitors to Bethlehem the opportunity to stay in a historic building with high quality of service and hospitality but also we are proud of having developed an award-winning acclaimed restaurant based on Palestinian local farmers produce with a modern approach.”

The Hosh Al-Syrian Guesthouse and its Fawda Restaurant have attracted to Bethlehem a different type of clientele. Foodies, journalists, cultural travellers, diplomats all come to enjoy Bethlehem and the food of Fawda Restaurant.

Recently the Hosh Al-Syrian hosted different events with visiting chefs from France, the United Kingdom, Norway and Malta. The chefs explored together with the Hosh Al-Syrian’s team Palestinian produce, created dishes that highlighted Palestinian heritage and modern techniques and shared their experiences in their respective countries.  

Now in its eighth year, the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence celebrates businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients, located all over the world, are awarded for having continually delivered a quality customer experience.

The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
