Three young Palestinian entrepreneurs presented prototypes of their creative startups at the Kazan International Summit 2018, Russia, as part of the 4th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum.
30 startups were chosen out of 500 applicants from 20 Countries.
After a series of tests and interviews, the 30 startups received trainings from 50 expert speakers for 5 days before they presented their startups in front of international investors.
The participants presented their startups in the presence of H.E Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, H.E. Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),H.E. Amb. Elshad Iskandarov, ICYF-DC President and H.E. Dr. Zamir Iqbal, Vice President of the Islamic Development Bank Group – isdb.org (IDB). along with Russian and Turkish Investors.
The Kazan summit aims to create new opportunities to invest and build partnerships for those who are active in the economical and technological fields.
It provides various workshops and meeting classes to allow investors and entrepreneurs to meet, learn more, and gain new skills which will help develop the startups.
From Palestine, the 3 participants were: Nadim Alayaseh, Representing WIREZ, Hussam Joulani, representing Linkage, and Soud Hefawi, representing Nine Gates.
The three were invited by the Ministry of youth and sports of Tatarstan, and by the Summit Director to participate in the summit days and to present their startups.
Palestinians participated before in previous forums sponsored by the High Council of Youth and Sports of Palestine lead by Major General Jibreel Al-Rujub.
WIREZ, a Platform for freelance Journalists and Filmmakers, was selected among the 10 best investable entrepreneur startups and will be presented on Turkish airlines screens as a prize to help raise more investments.

Palestinians were invited to participate at the TechnoFest in Istanbul, Turkey.
Palestinian entrepreneur startups and their creative ideas are developing Palestinian cities within the field of technology and in the context of a global orientation to invest in technological projects.
Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants of the 10 International Economic Summit Russia — the Islamic World: Kazan Summit 2018, held in Kazan on May 10–12, 2018. “Russia supports the efforts your countries are undertaking to promote justice, equality and mutual benefit in international economic relations, as well as to prevent unfair competition, diktat and unlawful sanctions.”

The 10th Kazan summit took place in Kazan, Tatarstan attracting the participation of more than 3000 investors, journalists and guests from 50 countries.
It came to an end after two days of meetings and conferences attended by Russian and international representatives concentrated on finding a new space between Moscow and the Arab and Islamic world to break barriers to freedom of investment.
