Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday shelled Hamas sites in Gaza under the pretext of flying kites that lead to burning Israeli plantations.
A spokesman for the Israeli army confirmed that they shelled Hamas sites along the Gaza Strip border for launching paper kites that target Israeli farmland, causing hundreds of dunums to burn, and financial losses to Israel and farmers.
According to the site, the occupation spokesman pointed out that the army used drones for the first time in the bombing to attack the kites and sites, where the bombing targeted and destroyed a site of Hamas north of the border between Gaza and Israel.
Israel tried to shoot down the kites last Friday by destroying small-scale drone aircraft and hooking them up with kite-threaded wires. It failed as the young men took control of two small planes, triggering the Israeli army.
