The Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas has welcomed the resolutions of the Arab Summit held on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, as it rejects the US administration’s violations against international resolutions, including Trump declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

According to WAFA, Abbas said that his efforts to achieve reconciliation and unite Palestinian land and people did not and will not stop, stressing that he will not abandon Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

During the summit, Saudi Arabia has allocated $50 million in support of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and $150 million in support of the Islamic Endowment (Waqf) in Jerusalem.

Al-Quds reported that Arab leaders rejected US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, including saudi King, who described the Palestinian issue as a “top Arab priority,” while King Abdullah II of Jordan affirmed the eternal right of Palestinians to Jerusalem and Arab leaders’ adherence to the Arab Peace Initiative.
