Israeli Occupation Forces killed yesterday Friday Yasser Mortaja Palestinian journalist and wounded seven other journalists  in direct targeting for journalist on Gaza border.

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate considered the martyrdom of Murtaja and wounding of the seven journalists is a determination by the Israeli occupation forces to continue committing the deliberate crimes against Palestinian journalists.

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate added in statement that PNN received that the targeting of journalists came from a decision by the Israeli government that provides protection to Israeli soldiers targeting journalists.

The Syndicate confirmed that it will pursue the murderers of Mortaja in international forums and courts, and that it will intensify its steps and efforts to bring the killers of journalists to international justice.

Palestinian Journalists Syndicate also called on the United Nations and its relevant bodies and agencies to protect journalists and to act immediately and to translate their resolutions, particularly UN Security Council Resolution 2222, into concrete steps and provide urgent field protection for Palestinian journalists.

Palestinian medical sources announced today morning the death of journalist Yaser Murtaja, who was wounded east of Khan Yunis southern Gaza Strip, during the coverage of the clashes with IOF.
