Israeli occupation forces today arrested Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in Israel, after breaking into his home in Umm Al-Fahm.
Local Palestinian sites quoted his wife, Um Omar, as saying that about 20 members of the Israeli occupation forces broke into their house at dawn and told Salah he is being detained.
The Israeli occupation forces also searched his home and office. No reason was given for his arrest. Details of where he is being detained also remain unknown.
Sheikh Raed Salah has been arrested several times in the past, especially after an incitement campaign led by Israeli government officials.
The Israeli minister, Yisrael Katz, threatened to arrest Salah and send him into exile. The Palestinian had most recently been released from jail in June after spending nine months in solitary confinement.
