Israeli police detains 15 Palestinians in aggressive night raid

15 Palestinians were detained in a aggressive night raid conducted by the Israeli police in several East Jerusalem neighborhoods. That brings the total number of detained Palestinians this week close to 50, WAFA news reports. According to local sources most of them are teenagers and minors.

Locals told WAFA news that the police violently and forcefully dragged their victims out of bed before throwing them in the back of the police vans. Several homes were aggressively ransacked while frightening the children and terrorizing the inhabitants.

Israeli Police forces claim that the 15 detainees were involved in violence that occurred in the aftermath of the Israeli closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Israeli police said to WAFA that they raided the neighborhoods of Wadi al-Joz, Silwan, Ras el-Amoud, al-Tur, Beit Hanina and the Old City.

According to Addameer 160 Palestinian were arrested in Jerusalem alone since 14/7/2017 until 25/7/2017,  and includes about 30 children under the age of 18.
