More than 150 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque

Wednesday morning Mahadi al-Abbasi was prevented from entering the Al-Aqsa mosque and going to work by the Israeli occupation forces, because more than 150 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The incursions were carried out by the Mughrabi Gate with heavy security from the Israeli occupation forces during which the settlers carried out provocative tours throughout the mosque.

Yesterday, Islamic Endowment (Waqf) spokesman Firas al-Dibs told Ma’an news that 870 Israeli Jews had entered the compound in large groups under heavy military protection between 7 and 11 a.m., adding that several Israelis had performed Jewish religious rites in the compound.

According to the agreement signed between Israel and the Jordanian government after Israel illegally occupied East Jerusalem in 1967  the Jews are permitted visitation rights to the compound, but non-Muslim worship is prohibited.
