Abbas in meeting with a Hamas delegation to discuss unity

President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday evening met with a Hamas delegation  in the presidency headquarter in Ramallah to discuss unity.

The purpose of the meeting was to bring the to parts closer together and to find an ending to the long internal Palestinian division that’s been dividing the West Bank and Gaza. The recent developments in Jerusalem were also discussed in the meeting in an effort to preserve the historical and legal status at the Al-Aqsa mosque.

The Hamas delegation in the West bank, headed by Nasser Eddin al-Shaer, included Mahmoud Ramahi, Mohammad Totah, Ayman Daraghme and Samir Abu Eisheh, also discussed the general situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
