IOF attack Nakba protest with intense teargas

PNN/ Bethlehem/

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Monday noon have violently attacked hundreds of Palestinians who were commemorating the 69th Nakba anniversary.

The protest, which headed towards the 300 military checkpoint at the northern entrance of Bethlehem, was immediately repressed by intense teargas grenades.

Dozens suffered from teargas inhalation and fled the scene.

A few hours later, IOF sprayed amounts of skunk water towards homes, cars and protesters.

Intense clashes broke out following the attack, where Palestinians burned tires and responded with stone-throwing.

The clashes are still ongoing.

This also is currently taking place in different contact points all over the West Bank, since all the national movements agreed to commemorate the Nakba day.

This comes in synchronization with over 1,600 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails entering their 29th day of open end hunger strike, demanding basic human rights, including living conditions, medical care and family visits.

On 15 May 1948, over 700,000 Palestinians were forced to leave their homes and villages due to the Zionist occupation.
