Israeli soldiers on Monday evening shot dead a Palestinian youth who carried out shooting at Beit El checkpoint near Ramallah, wounding three Israeli soldiers.
One of the soldiers was reportedly critically wounded while the two others sustained moderate injuries. Paramedics arrived on the scene and took the injured soldiers to Hadassah Medical Center for treatment.
The slain Palestinian was identified as Mohammad Turkman from Qabatia town near Jenin, is in his late 20s and works as a security officer.
Following the attack, Israeli Forces closed off Ramallah as a closed military zone for Monday.
At least 236 Palestinians, including 11 from Qabatiya town, were killed by the Israeli occupation army since the outburst of the anti-occupation Jerusalem Intifada, in early October.
