On the 29th October MSF Spain organized a “Community Mental Health Intervention” in Al Arrub camp in El Feniq hall, with the support of Popular Committee.
210 people were gathered, among which 140 were minors under 12 years, and 70 were adolescent and adults over 12 years.
During the event, which lasted from 2.30 pm to 4.30pm, MSF projected a video about its project on Mental Health, in Hebron Governorate. After that, it took place a puppet play, created in collaboration with Yes Theatre and which treats topics related to potential negative effects on the mental health of Palestinian population, under occupation, called “Let’s think together”. Both activities were addressed only to adult audience.
Children enjoyed recreational activities with drawing materials, games and face paintings.
Just 15 days ago, MSF organized a similar activity in Sair village (on the 15th October). Through these activities, MSF Spain is helping the population of the occupied West Bank to early identification of potential mental health disorders and to develop a higher resilience capacity through coping mechanisms.
