Khawaja, a popular struggle and human rights activist, was arrested from his home in Ramallah after it was raided by large Israeli forces.

Secretary General of PNI, Dr. Mustafa Al-Barghouthi, strongly denounced the arrest, saying that it will never oppress the movement’s strive to struggle for the freedom of Palestine.

Al-Barghouthi told PNN that IOF raided Khawaja’s home upon breaking into it at 2 AM, then fired teargas and sound grenades towards the youths who stood up against them during the arrest.

In addition, the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee (PSCC) has strongly denounced the arrest calling it a “desperate attempt to oppress the popular struggle movement, which has become a major factor in exposing Israeli occupation and its crimes against the Palestinian people.

Head of PSCC, Munther Amira told PNN that Khawaja was a major HRD whom Israel had attacked severak times, violating all international human-rights conventions.
