Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Monday dawn openened fire on a Palestinian car, killing one youth and wounding another during a raid on Shu’fat refugee camp, northeast Jerusalem.
The Jpost Israeli website claimed claimed that the youths attempted a “car-ramming” attack when the soldiers immediately opened fire.
Local sources said that Israeli soldiers killed Mustafa Namer and injured another as they were driving a car on a street in the camp.
They added that Namer was dragged to a nearby checkpoint, while the wounded man was handcuffed and taken to hospital.
A large number of Israeli troops aboard 10 military vehicles at least stormed the camp at dawn and deployed themselves at Anata junction, amid intensive firing of tear gas. The Israeli police claimed that its forces opened fire at a speeding car boarded by two people after ordering its driver to stop, accusing the young men of attempting to run over soldiers.
