MSF organization (Doctors Without Borders) on Monday celebrated its 20 year anniversary working in Palestine with people harmend by the ongoing political violence.
The two-day celebration, held in Hebron’s old city, will include a play which displays the ongiong struggle in Hebron’s H2 area, in addition to a photo exhibition showcasing the psychological effects of occupation and violence on Palestinians of all ages.
The ceremony was held under the the patronage of the Palestinien Health Minister, Dr. Jawad Awwad, Hebron governer, Kamel Hmaid, and Hebron Mayor, Daud Al-Za’tari, in addition to representatives of other organizations.
Head of Mission, Denis Penoy, said that MSF is celebrating 20 years of unconditional, unbiased and free medical health care, whether physicl or mental services for Palestinians since it started its work in Hebron.
Penoy added that for the past year, MSF has been working to solve the issues of youths and get to know them better.
Khamis Al-Hanajra, coordinator of the Bedouin Affairs in Bani Naim area in Henron siad that MSF has been “a cure” for the Bedouins in Hebron since it has provided them will all kinds of servcices, adding that they have been one of the biggest supporters of Palestinians inneed for their helpd.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
(MSF) has been working in Gaza since 1989, and in the West Bank since 1996, especially with social, physical and mental health services.
