PNN/ Nablus/

Israeli soldiers on Sunday afternoon have shot and killed a Palestinian man at Huwara checkpoint south of Nablus, northern West Bank, under an alleged stabbing attempt.

Israeli media claimed that a ‘suspicious Palestinian’ arrived at the checkpoint and the Israeli soldiers started searching him, then shot him when he “tried to stab one of them”. No Israelis were injured.

The man was identified as Rami Awartani, 31 years old.
