Groups of Israeli settlers have entered al-Aqsa Mosque this morning under tight protection of Israeli police and Special Forces.
According to Palestinian Information Center, the settlers aimed at carrying out Talmudic rituals during their tours. As a reaction, Palestinian worshipers started chanting “Allahu Akbar” to express their anger.
Overall, since October 2015, tensions remain in Al-Aqsa and in its surroundings. The Israeli police is still maintaining restrictions regarding the access of Palestinians to the holy site, while settlers have repeatedly entered it under high protection.
