Two injured by Israeli fire during raids on Aida camp, Bethlehem

Two Palestinian have been injured by live fire and two others arrested on Thursday dawn when Israeli Forces broke into Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem, central West Bank.

Locals from the camp said that IOF broke into the camp and raided a number of homes, then arrested two youths aged 24 and 27. The soldiers also detained two other youths but released them shortly later.

Clashes broke out in the camp following the break-in, where IOF opened live fire on the youths, causing two injuries; one in the foot and the other in the stomach.

Both of the injured were taken to the nearby Beit Jala governmental hospital.

Israeli soldiers regularly break into Aida camp, open fire and teargas, and arrest its residents.

The camp is annexed to the Israeli wall, a military tower and a checkpoint which separate Jerusalem from Bethlehem.
