Israeli Ofer military court issued an administrative detention order against the Palestinian MP Abdul Jabbar Fuqaha, deputy on Hamas Movement, for three renewable months after the failure to present an indictment against him.
Lawyer Ashraf Abu Esnaineh said that the court had adjourned the trial of MP Fuqaha, who has been detained since May 17, for three days.
Another hearing will be held soon in order to confirm the administrative detention order which ends on August 16.
Human rights sources at the office of the MPs of Ramallah said that detaining Fuqaha brought the number of MPs arrested in Israeli jails to seven.
Four of whom are deputies on Hamas (Hassan Yousuf and Abdul Jaber Fuqaha from Ramallah, Hatem Qafisha from al-Khalil, and Mohammad Abu Tair from Occupied Jerusalem).
The other three are Marwan al-Barghouti, deputy on Fatah, and both of Ahmad Saadat and Khaledah Jarrar, deputies on the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
