The Palestinian Prisoner’s Club on Sunday confirmed that according to autopsy results, 21-year-old Abdul Fattah Al-Sharif took his last breath after he was shot in the head with the last bullet by an Israeli soldier in Hebron about two weeks ago.
Dr. Rayan Al-Ali, the Palestinian who attended the autopsy of Al-Sharif in Abu Kbir center, said that the result confimed that the youth had been shot dead while he was alive and wounded on the ground.
This says that the shooting had been an extrajudicial exection, as was shown by the video recorded by B’Tselem rights organization that went viral.
The soldier who executed Al-Sharif was identified as Elor Azarya, a resident of the poor Israeli town of Ramleh, near Tel Aviv.
He went into investigation and was temporarily suspended, until Friday 1 April, when the Israeli military court decided to release him after rejecting the prosecution’s appeal filed early Friday morning, requesting the Israeli soldier to remain in military police custody for an additional seven days.
