Israel disregards international law, continues targeting Palestinian children: PMO

PNN/ Ramallah/

The international community must hold Israel accountable for the deaths of 10-year-old Palestinian boy, Yassin Abu Khoussa, and his six-year-old sister Issra, who were both killed by fragments from a missile fired by an Israeli aircraft which hit near their home in Beit Lahiya, in northern Gaza.

Jamal Dajani, Director of Strategic Communications & Media for Prime Minister Hamdallah said that Israel continues to act above the law and murder children.
“Israeli leaders have blood on their hands, how do they justify the killing of innocent children?” Dajani said.

According to the organization Defense for Children International (DCI-Palestine), since 2005, six major Israeli military offensives in Gaza have killed at least 1,000 Palestinian children.

In another incident, three Palestinians were shot dead today by Israeli soldiers, in an alleged car-ramming attack. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, the Israeli military prevented their paramedics from approaching any of the wounded Palestinians, leading to their death.
