IOF kidnap almost thirty Palestinians across the occupied West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday evening and on Monday at dawn invaded different Palestinian cities and kidnapped almost thirty Palestinian men, after extensive military invasions and violent searches of homes, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reported.

The Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Silwad, near Ramallah, and detained a Palestinian child for several hours and repeatedly struck and beat him, causing various injuries.

He was identified as Soheib al-Kharraz, 13. According to his family, Soheib was also repeatedly assaulted by the IOF soldiers in the Israeli military jeep before being taken to an Israeli military base.

Also in Silwad, the IOF kidnapped another child, identified as Hamza Hammad, 15. According to locals, Hamza is the son of Moayyad Hammad, who is serving seven life terms in an Israeli prison.

Several IOF vehicles also invaded Nablus, in the north of the occupied West Bank, searched homes, and kidnapped a young man, identified as Mujahid al-Qutub.

In Beit Forik town, east of Nablus, the IOF kidnapped two young men, identified as Amir Nasasra and Nasr Sha’ban Hanani.

In Hebron, local media sources said Israeli soldiers kidnaped six Palestinians. They have been identified as Mohammad Arafat al-Qawasma, Yousef Wahid Abu Fara, 25, Taqieddin Jamal al-Hour (his father Jamal is also a political prisoner,) Fadi Mohammad Eghneimat, 33, Rami Haddoush, Shadi Assem al-Hashlamoun, 23.

The IOF also stopped and searched many cars, and questioned dozens of Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

In addition, the IOF also kidnapped Ahmad Bilal Abu ar-Rob, from Qabatia town, south of the northern city of Jenin, as he was working in al-Batouf, in the Galilee.

Another Palestinian, identified as Ahmad Hafeth Sa’aida, was kidnapped after the Israeli soldiers invaded and ransacked his home, in the al-Yamoun town, northwest of Jenin.

Palestinian Prisoners’ rights group Addameer estimates that around 40 percent of the Palestinian male population in the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem has been detained at some point in their lifes.

Also according to Addameer, there are currently around 6,900 Palestinians held in Israeli jails, 450 of them minors.
