The Holy Land Ecumenical Foundation (HCEF) is now prepping for the National Conference for the Palestinian youth in the Diaspora, as part of the Know Thy Heritage program that is taking place for the fifth consecutive year now.
CEO and Founder of HCEF, Sir Rateb Rabie told PNN that this year’s program will include 200 Palestinian youths and their parents coming from 15 countries all over the world.
The old delegates who have been part of the KTH program have been attracting new participants to take place over the past four years in order to create bonds between Palestinians and their roots.
Rabie, resident of the US, is currently visiting Palestine to prep for the conference, by involving political, religious and economic icons to take part in the conference. He will also be taking a tour around Europe, US and South America to meet up with the communities, associations and Palestinian personalities in the Diaspora.
The conference will conclude two phases: The first one will contain the conference and workshops, and the second will include a tour around Palestine to show the influence of occupation and the power of resistance, to send a message of hope and life to Palestinians despite the occupation.
The goal of the conference is bringing awareness to the Palestinian cause and introducing the diasporic youth to the situation on different levels, especially that some of the participants have not visited Palestine for about ten years now.
Rabie called on international foundations and associations to support this event which will allow hundreds of Palestinians to come back to their homeland and get to know their heritage.
